Walter A. Effross is a Professor of Law at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC, where he teaches, among other courses, Business Associations, Corporate Governance, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights, Corporate Bankruptcy, and Negotiable Instruments.
He is the author of Keeping Your Own Counsel: Simple Strategies and Secrets for Success in Law School (2023); and of Corporate Governance: Principles, Practices and Provisions (3d ed. 2022), which features numerous examples from the headlines and from popular culture, and presents practical, operational approaches to emerging challenges in governance.
